HENDERSON RSA IS PREPARING TO OPEN ONCE WE GET DOWN TO ALERT LEVEL 2 – HOPEFULLY SOMETIME AROUND 12TH – 14TH MAY 2020

We  look forward to providing our Members with an exciting place for everyone to gather and enjoy each others company in the near future.

Plans are in place for when the Club re-opens.  Things won’t be the same and this could become the norm for the foreseeable future.

Under Alert Level 2 there will still be strict distancing rules which will need to be adhered to and access to the Club will be limited to

Members, Affiliate Members and their Guests.

The Club will also probably be limited on how many people can gather in one place. Sanitisers will be available throughout the club and Members are asked to keep their distance, regularly wash and sanitize their hands, be patient and polite to other members.

Changes you will see and be required to abide by are:

  • People will need to keep their distancing if they are required to queue up to enter the Club.
  • Members will be required to carry their Membership Card at all times and use their card to swipe open the automatic door at the front of the building.
  • Members will then be required to swipe their cards at the terminal (Sign In/Sign Out) before entering the double doors to register that they are on the premises.
  • Affiliate Members and Guests will be required to ring the bell and show their club’s membership card to the camera at the club entrance – staff will let them in.
  • Affiliate Members and Guests are required to proceed to the bar where the bar staff will produce a voucher for them to register they are on the premises.
  • The bar grills will be 3/4 down with a plastic lining on the inside of the grill to separate the members from the staff.
  • New glasses will be issued for every drink – members are asked to return their used glasses to the trays on the bar.
  • Paywave has been installed on the Eftpos terminals and there won’t be any newspapers to prevent the spread of Covid 19.
  • Members and Guests are asked to keep their social distances when seated in the club and when playing the pokie machines.
  • Staff will be cleaning the furniture on regular intervals and moving around the club ensuring social distancing is maintained. Anyone who won’t abide by these rules will be asked to leave the Club.
We thank you for your cooperation and hope you understand that these are necessary if we are to stay open.  We can do this and enjoy each others company at the same time.

TAKEAWAY MEAL – AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE

One of the opportunities the Corona-virus has given us is a chance to delve into providing our Members with Takeaway Meals at an affordable price.  The Club is upgrading its Food Control Plan to allow us to sell takeaways. We are confident we can provide some hearty meals to take home and enjoy for just $10.00.  Check it out next time you are in the Club.

We would like to get rid of around 20 of our old black tables for $20.00 each.  They would be great for your garage or man cave etc.

HENDERSON RSA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING  AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS

The Henderson RSA AGM that was scheduled to take place on Sunday 26th April 2020 couldn’t take place because of the Lockdown.

The Club Executive Committee are meeting this Sunday and will set a new date for the AGM and decide weather the Election of Officers should be deferred until next year.
